Last Week in MTC

This last week was so good. My companions and I are closer than ever and the spirit is so strong. Here are some of the highlights:

Classes are all in Spanish now; it's been really fun to see how much we've improved. We take our final test on Friday, so I hope that goes well.

We made a companionship goal to not get fat. So we have a solid exercise routine at night we do. As easy as it may be for the sisters, we wake up sore just about every morning.

Sunday we fasted and it was really cool to have our testimony meeting in Spanish. I was able to accompany the hymns as well which was nice to have time to play. I'm really glad I remembered to bring staff paper, so when I have downtime I can write music.

On our way home after the devotional, Sunday, we ran into a group of sisters playing a guitar. So with a little bit of begging and a granola bar to trade I got to play that as well.

Some members from a local stake came to visit and we taught them a lesson. They were so kind and patient with our broken Spanish.

Today we went to the Mexico City Temple and performed an endowment. It was amazing as usual and was really cool in Spanish.

Not much else has happened this week, but I'm getting ready to fly to El Salvador next Wednesday!! Can't wait to write all about it.

I've always loved 1 Nephi 3: 7

"I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded"

Since I was in primary I have learned about Nephi and his faith. But recently the rest of the verse as been super impactful to me.

"I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them".

I know that as we trust in the Lord, He will provide a way to accomplish the things He as asked. He will never ask us to do something that is impossible, and conversely, nothing is impossible of we have faith in the Lord and are aligned with His will.
