Worry Less, Work Harder, and Be Happy

Another great week at the CCM. Super happy and super fun. The spirit is so strong here and I'm loving everything. My Spanish is coming along and I am finding plenty of time to play the piano. 2 Nephi 2: 8 - "Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise." I don't have much news today but I'm enjoying every second. So I'm just going to share a story that came to my mind this week: The Lord, speaking to a man, "Feelest thou my spirit?" His response, "Yeah, Lord." The Lord: "Then why hast thou turned from me? For I give unto you my spirit as thy guide....

The Power of the Lord if Manifest Through His Servants

I am in awe of the wisdom and love the Savior offers us. It's been a busy start to my mission but since this is my first email, here's the rundown: In October, I was called by the Prophet to teach the Gospel and serve the people of the El Salvador, San Salvador East mission. I began preparing and learning Spanish. Two weeks ago on Sunday, Jan 24, I was set apart as a Missionary by the authority of Jesus Christ.  I spent the next week and a half in Zoom meetings with some of the greatest missionaries I have ever met. I got to know my companions, Elder Norton and Elder Quezada, who are so faithful and such a blessing to be spending this time with. Now I am at the Missionary Training Center in Mexico City and I have never been happier. Our district has gotten along great so far and the Sisters are so kind! The Spirit ...
